We are in the middle of making vast changes to our website and have put up this temporary page to keep everyone informed about the upgrade and let people know what is going on with MSSFFA.

July 2008 MSSFFA meeting.

The next MSSFFA meeting is on Monday July 14th, and is located at the Central Library (3030 Poplar Ave). The meeting starts at 6:30PM.

About MSSFFA

Since 1970 MSFA (Memphis Science Fiction Association) members have been meeting to discuss Science Fiction, Fantasy and related subjects. In recent years, in recognition that fact many of our members lived outside of the Memphis area, we changed our name to MSSFFA (the Mid-South Science Faction and Fantasy Association.

We currently meet on the second Monday of every month at the Main Public Library (3030 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN). These meetings are open to the public. For over 30 years we have published the Memphen our club's semi-official newsletter. The Menphen covers the meetings, local and regional conventions; reviews books, movies, and TV shows. It has fiction and articles, showcases art, and includes anything else that we think might be of interest to our members.

MSSFFA also sponsors the Darrell Awards -- a series of awards to promote literacy in the Mid-South by recognizing the best published Science Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror that was written by a local author (or that uses the Mid-South as its setting).
